Yoga at Pure Athletex
Pure’s Yoga program can boast as being one of the oldest continuing programs in the Pittsburgh area. Our program began in 1992 and has served up yoga to many happy customers over the years. Our newly remodeled studio is also one of the nicest and most welcoming in the area. Our instructors are trained in Hatha Yoga and teach at a pace that is comfortable, yet challenging for all skill levels and ages. Classes emphasize stretching, balance, core work and breath work followed by a guided relaxation. Mats and props are available to use so bring an open mind, a smile and join us for a great experience!
In this class, "Power" is used as a generic term. Power Yoga will challenge and enhance your existing yoga practice. Strive to go deeper into your practice whether it is to increase flexibility, balance + strength, or to add a great workout to your exercise routine.
Our Senior Stretch class is for anyone who just want to stretch and maintain good posture and balance. Arthritis, back issues, bad knees and balance problems are just a few of the many problems addressed in this class. The pace is slow and deliberate and props such as chairs, bolsters and blocks are used to help students feel comfortable and safe. It is recommended that the student proceeds with any physical activity under the direction and approval of their doctor.
